26th March, 2019 - The Dozier Cemetery marker is up. The only marker I am not sure about is the Texas State Line marker, is this marker still in place?
Collingsworth County was part of a bigger Panhandle trip for us, in truth it was a trip I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. The first time we drove through the Panhandle it was on the way to a wedding in Colorado and it was very dry but on this occasion there had been rain and there wildflowers out and it was peaceful driving out on the county roads rarely passing another vehicle. The people were also very friendly and often helped us get onto the properties with historical markers.
Collingsworth County is named for James Collingsworth a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Wellington is the County seat,  and while some of the markers were in town several were on country backroads. We did manage to take pictures of all the markers up at the time ,which is extremely satisfying. Dozier Cemetery was not up in 2012 as far as I know, I'm even sure if it is up now.
