TEXAS HISTORICAL MARKERS

Dawson County Historical Markers

NUMBER OF MARKERS IN COUNTY - 6
Have - 4 Need - 2
Picture
Dawson County was named for a soldier of the Texas Revolution, Nicholas Mosby Dawson. The county seat is Lamesa.
This is a county I barely remember, as it was  part of a much bigger trip to Colorado for our niece's wedding. This county is marker poor, having only 6. The four we got were no difficulty. Lamesa Farm workers Community was not up when we were there and is the first new marker in many years but I believe it is there now. The Hardy Morgan House is set off the road on private property, so I can't be sure that it is indeed, still in place.

7th July, 2019 - Nothing new on review. I believe it might be very difficult to ever get to the Hardy Morgan House
