Marker Text: ​Colorful historian, orator, and journalist. Born on nearby ranch, son of Alex and Martha (Page) Dugat. Earned law degree. Worked on seven Texas newspapers; edited "Cotton Ginners Journal". Wrote biography of post-Civil War editor-orator Henry W. Grady.
​     World War I veteran, Methodist, Mason; member, Sons of American Revolution, Lions. Collected rare books, newspapers, artifacts. In 1958 organized and chaired Bee County Historical Commission. (1972)

Location: From Mineral, take FM 673 south about 2.5 miles, then go west on county road (Mineral Cemetery Road) about 2 miles, then go southwest on CR 110 about 0.5 miles to cemetery drive on north side of road. Grave is in northwest quadrant of cemetery inside Cemetery Circle Drive
