Glassock County

Glassock County Courthouse and Jail
Glassock County is named for early settler George Washington Glassock.  The county seat is Garden City.
There are three markers in Glassock County two at the courthouse and one at Garden City Cemetery, so all be it a very small county in terms of markers. It is the first county where I remember being able to say we have completed this county. We have finished other larger counties since but this was the first. Even typing the little 0 next to the need at the top of this text gave me a little thrill. We do try and get a Christmas ornament from each county we go to and this proved very difficult here because there are simply not a lot of places to buy anything at all.
