TEXAS HISTORICAL MARKERS

Kent County Historical Markers

NUMBER OF MARKERS IN COUNTY-5
Have- 4     Need - 1
One of the last counties on this Panhandle trip. The county seat is Jayton where 4 out of the 5 markers in this county reside. The county is named for Andrew Kent who died at the Battle of the Alamo.
We didn't visit the Kent county jail, I believe the medallion and plate are actually missing from this historic old building. At this stage of the trip I was almost relieved when I could almost turn in a circle and capture of all the counties markers.
