TEXAS HISTORICAL MARKERS

Hunt County Historical Markers

NUMBER OF MARKERS IN COUNTY- 98
Have- 16      Need- 82
Hunt County is named after Memucan Hunt, Jr., the first Republican minister to the United States. Greenville is the county seat.
We only briefly visited this county while we were staying in Rockwall. It’s clear that this county deserves a whole bunch of days and attention to capture all its landmarks.
