Marker Text: Born in County Sligo, Ireland - With John McMullen he secured a contract to settle 200 families August 17, 1828 - Landed his colonists at El Copano, 1830 - In 1834 laid out the town of San Patricio - His house on this site was built in 1855 - Died here, 1856 (1936)
