Marker Text: The Pioneer - North Llano Cemetery was established on this site 500 feet from the North Llano River across from the Speer homestead. The earliest burials are unmarked, but it is recorded that Sam Speer was buried here in 1876 beside his mother Elizabeth (McAllister) (1822 – 1876). In 1878 Thomas Doran was interred after a gunfight in a Junction City saloon; his is the earliest headstone. Of the 58 graves, many bear veteran’s markers. The last person buried here was Andrew Jackson Wilson (1847 – 1916). Now owned by the city of Junction, the cemetery continues to be an important link to the 19th century and its people. (1998
Location: On Reid Road, just off North Main Street, in Junction
