Kerr County Historical Markers
NUMBER OF MARKER IN COUNTY - 88
Have -72 Need- 17
Kerr County is named for Peter Kerr a Texas congressman. The county seat is Kerrville.
Kerr County is was one of the first counties we visited, and we were far less organized back then so we have marker's missing that we should have easily captured. Saying that those early markers were not well taken and could really stand redoing. We love the hill country and it's really never a hardship to go back. There are a couple of markers on private property that could prove difficult but on review, it seems they are all still in place. Kerr County has also been very productive putting up new markers so there is even more reason to go back. Also, our niece is attending Schneiner College at the moment so it's always nice to take her out to lunch.

26th July, 2020 - We had a quick overnight visit to Kerrville before COVID really exploded in Texas, it was my reward for losing 5 pounds (Yay Me) but also I was finding myself going a little stir crazy, thus an overnight trip. We managed to capture some of the new markers, a few of the older ones and a couple of retakes. We still love this area of Texas and I hope we get to a chance revisit and complete the county in near future.
